Today’s world is torn by wars, conflicts, religious fights, all kinds of hostility, prejudices, racism and hatred, manifesting in various forms.
As Christians living in Poland, we have discovered that our common thousand-year history prophesies our destiny and vocation as we have from God in reference to the Jewish nation and other nations of Europe. For many centuries, the Polish land has become a shelter for Jews, and ultimately, in the twentieth century, the place of extermination of Jews, not only Polish but also European.
Today we discover that God gives us a second chance, so that we can fulfill his plan of consolation and reconciliation. The revelation of his plan began to come to us in a special way since 2003, when our regular trips to Israel began, which resulted in the creation of a Polish house of prayer in Jerusalem. The goal was to pray for Israel and the nations.
In 2007, a new stage of our service to Israel and Jews began with opening of the door to relationship with many Jews in Israel, and the opportunity to meet and speak with many Israeli youth groups coming to Poland as part of an educational program on the history of the Holocaust. Our hearts have permanently clung to the Jewish people and the land of Israel, which we practically express through our trips to Israel, organization of various conferences, seminars, schools, holiday camps, marches of support for Israel and other events.
In 2012, the next, deep stage of reconciliation with the German nation began for us. It happened through the “March of Life” organized by the German christians in Gliwice, Poland. The descendants of the German Nazis, taking responsibility for the past, came to Poland to rip the veil of silence and say words that their ancestors never said; we are sorry, forgive us. We’ve organized several events together over the past few years. Among most significant was the Reconciliation and Friendship Conference in Tubingen, Germany, and summer camp in Poland entitled “The Miracle of Reconciliation.”
To develop our activities in Poland, Israel and other countries, as a group of Christians from Kielce, we have established a foundation to serve as a practical tool in the service of reconciliation. In our activity, we will be guided by the universal values contained in the Bible. We invite our friends from Israel and believers from other cities and nations to cooperate as part of the foundation.
We hope that the list of people who will join the foundation’s activities or want to support it will continue to grow.
